The City of Shasta Lake (City) is soliciting qualifications and proposals from qualified consultants to provide professional services related to the design, preparation of construction documents, and services during construction for the City’s HSIP Safety Guardrail Upgrade project.

It is the intent of the City to hire a single qualified Consultant Team that can provide the following services to the City:  Project Management, Preliminary Design, Environmental Compliance and Permitting, Right-of-Way Acquisition \ Right-of-Entry for Construction, Final Design Services, and Services during Bidding and Construction.

Interested consultants are invited to submit qualifications in accordance with the requirements of this Request for Proposal (RFP).  The City anticipates accomplishing the work associated with the project within the established budget of $245,000.  The successful Consultant must be aware of the budget limitations and be able to provide a clear plan for completing the required work that meets the project’s goals within the project budget constraints.

This Professional Services contract shall be subject to the requirements of the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual.  In particular, the Consultant shall comply with all the requirements of Chapter 10 of the LAPM and all associated Office Bulletins -

The DBE goal for this contract is 10.0%.  The Consultant shall either meet this goal or conduct a good-faith effort in order to meet the contract requirements.

In order for the Consultant to be considered qualified, the firm or project team must demonstrate experience in the successful completion of projects funded through the Caltrans Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and in designing highway guardrail systems in accordance with Caltrans design guidelines.
