The City of Shasta Lake has adopted a renewable energy policy that provides for the acquisition of renewable energy at or in excess of legally mandated quantities; while also recognizing the hydro-electric generation by the Western Area Power Administration, of which the City has an allocation, as a renewable energy source as well.
