The City of Shasta Lake is pleased to begin recruiting for a full-time Code Enforcement Officer.
The Code Enforcement Officer will investigate suspected violations of the City of Shasta Lake Municipal Code and other adopted codes relating to building, planning and zoning, and other ordinances as directed.
Essential duties include: Investigate reports of violations of laws relating to cannabis regulations, nuisance and zoning regulations, and illegal occupancy situations. Coordinate nuisance abatement programs for blighted areas and provide information to the public on Municipal Code requirements. Prepare detailed written reports and provide evidence and testimony at City hearings and in court. Perform joint inspections with other City departments such as Shasta Lake Fire and other various Shasta County agencies.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license. Possession of valid Code Enforcement Officer Certification through CACEO (California Association of Code Enforcement Officers) or other approved organizations is preferred, but not required.
