THE CITIZENS OF ANY COMMUNITY ARE ITS GREATEST RESOURCE
Getting involved in your community can be a rewarding experience. Whether you participate in a local service club, volunteer for community events, serve on an advisory body, or address issues during public comment at meetings, your ideas, opinions, and involvement are important. City Council appoints members of the community to serve on various Boards, Committees and Commissions. City Council Appointed Boards/Committees/Commissions:
- Parks and Recreation Commission - Five Members
- Planning Commission - Five Members
- Economic Development Corporation Board - One Appointee
- Shasta County Commission on Aging - One Appointee
- Shasta County Mosquito and Vector Control Board - One Appointee
Become a Member
You can help your community by serving as a member of a City Advisory Board. Details on each advisory board can be obtained from the City Clerk.
