Will outdoor cultivation continued to be allowed within the City?: There are no changes at this time to current outdoor cultivation regulations. With the passage of the AUMA (Proposition 64) by voters on November 8, 2016, adults 21 years of age or older may cultivate up to 6 plants for personal use indoors or outdoors at their residences. Agencies may enact and enforce reasonable regulations to regulate this activity. Any commercial cultivation requires a business permit. Indoor, permanent structures only.

1. Will additional retail sales outlets be allowed beyond what the City has at this time?: No. Current zoning does not allow for any further retail outlets, and the City is not considering any additional retail sales outlets due to the Adult Use of Marijuana Act. There are only three allowed medical marijuana retail outlets within the City.

2. Will commercial cultivation and manufacturing activities be allowed?: Yes, in the allowed zoning.

3. Will the City consider volatile marijuana extraction activities?: The City does not distinguish between volatile and non-volatile. Manufacturing is allowed in the designated cannabis zoned areas with appropriate permits from the City and Fire District.
