Work on this project includes, but is not limited to, repair of plant access road, complete legal demolition and recycling and/or legal disposal of all above-ground plant components including existing site structures and enclosures, buildings, tanks, pipelines, valves, vaults and vault lids extending above ground, electrical and mechanical equipment, and all other materials and debris comprising the physical components of the Toyon Water Treatment Plant, backfill of all vaults, cavities, and voids to ground level with 3”-minus fill material, miscellaneous debris removal, gate removal, and site cleanup. All other items or details not mentioned above that are required by the Plans or the Contract Documents shall be furnished, fabricated, constructed, or installed. The Engineer’s Estimate for this work is $250,000.

The Contractor shall be aware that this project involves the legal demolition, removal, recycling and/or disposal of materials containing hazardous materials (lead-based paint). All OSHA and Cal-OSHA requirements for handling this type of material shall be observed.

A prebid conference is scheduled between staff and interested bidders at Shasta Lake City Hall, 4477 Main Street, Shasta Lake, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 9 a.m., at which time the project will be reviewed. This meeting will be followed by a site visit. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend.
